The Trouble with Tired People
Monday, January 11th, 2010
So I had another high-energy, high-activity day. Yay!
And while I was on my BIG walk home earlier today, I was debating about whether or not I actually wanted to keep the trend going by trying a few inexpensive Exotic Dance classes, or Exoterobics thanks to today’s Living Social Deal of the Day.
My health, wellness [...] -
Hip, Hoop, Hurray!
Sunday, January 10th, 2010
I just got back from my first Hoop Dance Class!
So much fun, even I might stick with it. I’ve wanted to learn for several years. It’s been my “intention” to do so, but 2010 is the year!
I listen to a lot of electronica music and started seeing hoop dance performers at shows. Since that first [...] -
DownLoad-asana: Yoga Relax for iPhone
Saturday, January 9th, 2010
I’m writing my first post from my iPhone, so it seems appropriate to post something about this iPhone app that I just downloaded
.
The feature list sounds very cool. I was particularly excited about being able to set up your own session from 1-36 minutes, and especially enjoying thinking about 1-5 minute sessions because, um, I’m lazy [...] -
Lions, but no Tigers, and certainly no Bears
Friday, January 8th, 2010
I always laugh when I’m in a yoga class and the yoga instructor decides to do Simhasana, or Lion Pose. (As I get older, my eyes are getting bad, so when I read “simhasana” I see “simba-sana,” and I think of the Lion King.)
I guess I also laugh when I’m by myself. You can too. [...]

Yoga Cult? Ding, Dang, Dahn!
Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Okay so, I’m working on that eat more Indian food intention today, so for lunch I tried some Trader Joe’s shelf stable palak paneer (don’t recommend it, tasted stale, um like a shelf), TJ’s pav bhaji (pretty good, but spicy, and I’m a wimp with the spice) and the ever awesome frozen, just-microwave-it Jasmine rice, [...]

And now for something completely different
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010
On my other blog I wrote about Dan Pink’s new book, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us.
I haven’t had time to read it yet, but I remembered I first heard about Laughter Yoga when I read his book A Whole New Mind -
My Distraction Free Writing Pro…crastination
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010
Before yesterday had turned more toward vicious than toward yoga, I had intended yesterday’s post to be an exercise in brevity and short commentary on another how-to piece I’d come across after discovering Rob Knowlton’s Simple Code for Posting on the Web.
I was just going to repost MDFWP and shut the hell up, but I [...] -
Vicious or Yoga – How was YOUR day?
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010
Yesterday, I didn’t post.
Some days are more vicious, some days more yoga.
Yesterday was vicious.
But all’s well that ends well.
Today I’ll post two to keep on top of my 31 in 31 Goal/Resolution/Intention… -
Yogic Posting Philosophy – Don’t be a Jerk
Sunday, January 3rd, 2010
I found this blog posting philosophy a few days ago. It strikes me as a good all-round approach, not only to blogging, but also to life in general.
It’s kind of funny to me and a one of those mysterious coincidences of life and the internet that I found the link while checking out my friend Joe [...] -
Chairman Wow
Saturday, January 2nd, 2010
Okay, this was not the idea that was inspired by yestereday’s TV-Yoga, but I just have to say I love The Chairman.
I wish I were that apple.
I’m a nut for just about any kind of martial art, and I’ve had a crush for a while, but I guess I’ve missed the episodes where [...]
