With four kids, I’ve spent (and continue to spend) a fair amount of time over the last twenty years schlepping kids around DC and to near and not-so-near suburbs. Today was no exception with a theatre play practice and a birthday party starting at the same time.

Despite a fairly large sample to judge by – one finished with college, one who just started, another turning 16 in a mere four months, and one we’ll be stuck with for another eight years - I thought our kids who had no particular interest in getting drivers licenses were the exception to the rule rather than a national trend. Thanks to my friend Shashi for sending this out today.

Next time one of the kids needs a ride, I’ll just say, “Take the BMW.”
